I thought I had good brushes before buying this set because, you know, I did the research and spared no expense and I found out quickly that these were the real deal! There’s a feel to them, a balance in your hand that is pretty amazing, and when you’re ready to lay down a big juicy stroke of watercolor, these beauties get the job done ✅! It’s hard to say which one is really my favorite but the cat’s tongue brushes make the prettiest marks and come to such a delicate pinpoint that this makes them a great overall tool. Kristy Rice offers a tutorial showing you how she uses each one in a delightful way! Back to which one is my favorite: it would have to come down to a choice between the daggers or the cat’s tongue and the versatility of the daggers is unreal especially for painting flower petals AND leaves! Every kind of leaf you can imagine, one of those dagger brushes can make and usually in fewer strokes than I typically need when using one of my BKR brushes. (BKR=Before Kristy Rice! 😂) But there’s this sweet little liner brush for adding the oh so necessary details. I cannot decide on an absolute favorite because they are all amazing! I love painting with them and I especially love the adorable pouches. I actually have both sets of Kristy Rice Brushes so I’m able to put all the brushes in one pouch and use the other one for my other tools if Im traveling or just going outside to paint flowers. I’ve had them more than a month and I don’t use any of my other brushes. I wish I had found them sooner as it would have saved me from buying other brands. I highly recommend this set, the other set AND her #6 travel brush, which incidentally fits right into the Art For Joy’s Sake paint palette! 😊

I know that I shouldn’t have been surprised by the quality of brushes when I received them, because everything that Kristy does is amazing, but I was still surprised by these brushes! They really are my go to when I’m painting. They’re lightweight and hold a good amount of water. Bristles are soft and pliable and glide across the paper beautifully.

I have been attempting this watercolor painting for the last 3 months. Zero experience of any art form just always wanted to try. Kristy was one of the first I found. Her enthusiasm grabbed my attention. So, after watching for a month, I purchased my first set of brushes. I have purchased the other set and a third set for my granddaughter. They practically paint for you. Love the weight, love the quality and learning to let them guide me!!!

Wonderful brushes all you need for any watercolor painting! Customer service is amazing from this company I love they are a small company with real and kind people on the other end .
