The background of this painting was once a rich brown but that didn't feel right and so now it's a milky white with soft blue undertones. We don't know the full story of anyone, the beneath story. We cannot know one's motivations for their every word or action, those lie in the beneath story. So we are left with grace only, for ourselves and each other.
